Description:

Space Engine Systems is seeking aerospace structure engineers who can think outside the box to develop hypersonic aircraft structures. Must be self-driven and capable of meeting deadlines with minimal supervision. Experience with experimental aircraft development, supersonic aircraft and manufacturing are beneficial. A passion for aerospace, high-speed flight, and space flight runs through our company. Must be willing to work with a very lean, tight-knit team on an aggressive development and testing programme. These positions can be very demanding in terms of time allocation.

The role:

-interface with all vehicle teams including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, etc. to develop aerospace structure solutions for hypersonic, airbreathing flight.

-perform analytical and finite element analysis and structural component sizing.

-perform mechanical design using Siemens NX and create manufacturing drawings and plans for your designs.

-test your designs to ensure they meet their requirements, and create test fixtures and plans, and iterate designs based on test results to develop complete solutions quickly.

Requirements:

Must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents or US citizens with Canadian work permit. Some international travel to the UK, USA and Europe may be required from time to time. Preference will be given to hands on experienced personnel having worked supersonic aircraft and rockets. Experience in design, testing, simulation, and certification of aircraft structures is an asset.

A BSc., MSc, or PhD Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is required.

Must hold or be eligible for P.Eng. designation.
